Ok, presentation times.

My interest in logging is revolving around "runtime updatable logging
implementations and extensions".
That is, if I write a new destination, formatter or any other extension to the
logging implementation, I want to be able to load that while the application
is running, without taking it down.
That is something that was possible with Avalon LogKit, but is increasingly
difficult in both Log4J and JDK Logging.

I hope that this project will set the playing field in a manner making such
implementations possible, yet not hamper people who are not interested in
them.

I want to cherrish both Ceki and the JCL folks for putting aside the
differences and concentrate on moving forward in a civil manner.

Cheers
Niclas
