maybe there is a solution, both for #16 and #20.
If SLF4J uses a custom LogRecord class like Slf4jLogRecord extends LogRecord,
it would be very easy enable this functionality "on demand" or "on
configuration" only.
I have really no time to provide a sample or patch, sorry.
