Very interesting to see the high level of discussion here and one that I for
one welcome.

I would really like to see Joern's second proposal be a main part of SLF4J
since that would take care of my single little gripe against SLF4J (which I
already use in several production systems).

I think it's clean and non-obtrusive and as such I would like to express my
support for the proposal.
