I checked out the source and build a snapshot and could not get it to work. I
found out that the implementations of the getInstance methods do not match the
signature of the corresponding log4j methods. The should return a Category
object, not a Logger.

On a side note, please implement the other deprecated methods from the Category
log4j class
(http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/apidocs/org/apache/log4j/Category.html).
