Hello Marcel,

I have started looking into this problem more carefully. When I try to load
slf4j.api and slf4j.nop bundles, things seem to work fine. Here is an example
of what I have done.

> java -jar /java/eclipse-ganymede/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.4.3.R34x_v20081215-1030.jar -console

osgi> install file:/C:/tmp/slf4j-api-1.5.6.jar
Bundle id is 5

osgi> install file:/C:/tmp/slf4j-nop-1.5.6.jar
Bundle id is 6

osgi> start 5

osgi> start 6
org.osgi.framework.BundleException: A fragment bundle cannot be started:

osgi> enableBundle slf4j.api

osgi> enableBundle slf4j.nop

osgi> status
Framework is launched.

The above seems to work. What am I missing here?
