Rick Beton commented on CAL-15:
-------------------------------

FYI the resource bundle lookup is deliberately simpler in Cal10N (http://cal10n.qos.ch/manual.html#simplifiedLookup). However, the manual doesn't mention that the variant (/region) component is ignored. Either the variant should be treated as per standard ResourceBundle, or the difference should be clearly documented. The KISS principle has been applied but arguably not sufficiently justified yet.

IMHO, because Locale supports a variant, Cal10N should do so too, in spite of the KISS principle.

> The Locale has a variant part which is currently not evaluated by the ResourceBundleFinder.
> This has to be changed to keep it consistent with the Java ResourceBundle behaviour.
