Many logback examples shipping with the 0.7.1. distribution explicitly
configure logback. However, since default configuration invokes
BasicConfigurator in the absence of the default logback.xml file, there is an
extra console appender configuration.

We need to check the code so that we reset the config when we explicitly
configure logback.
