Reading your previous posts I was under the impression that the
formatting code was specific to your environment and not general
purpose. If it is general purpose, you can contribute it here or
distribute it separately.
As far as I can tell, the conversion specifier extension mechanism as
exists currently in PatternLayout meets your needs. I am missing
something here?
