Summary: Expose a way to get the current version of Logback running
Issue Type:           Improvement
Assignee:             Logback dev list
Created:              18/Dec/21 1:10 AM
Priority:             Major
Reporter:             Gabe Tobias
Description:
  Especially given the current incident with Log4j, this is something useful for all the consumers.

  How to get in runtime, the current version of the application running?

  In Java, one common standard is to use:
  getPackage().getImplementationVersion()

  I am preparing a PR to include this information. Thank you!
