[logback-user] Encoder for SocketAppender

Hi,

I want to specify a special encoder for a SocketAppender.

It works fine for a FileAppender, but I saw that the SocketAppenders do not
accept encoders.

Is there a reason for this? If this is not possible, which is the preferred
option to modify the logging event sent over the socket?
Is it maybe possible with nested appenders?
