Hi, the subject of my SMTPAppender in logback access always displays a
%PARSER_ERROR, unless I put plain text in the subject.

For the subject line:
    <subject>TESTING: %logger{20} - %m</subject>

I'm getting this as subject:

I'm using the 1.0.13 version in Jetty and my logback-access.xml is as

<appender name="SMTP"
    <layout class="ch.qos.logback.access.PatternLayout">
    <Evaluator class="ch.qos.logback.access.net.URLEvaluator">
    <from>blahz at blah.com</from>
    <subject>TESTING: %logger{20} - %m</subject>
    <to>zzz at blah.com</to>

<appender-ref ref="SMTP" />

Any ideas?
