In response to comment #36, please don't add any additional arbitrary limits. 
Is 10 any better than 2?  Why not 20?  I don't have the source code in front of
me, but wouldn't this also require each implementation to also declare any of
these additional convenience methods?

All my other thoughts have already been expressed by myself and others.  (I
really liked where things were looking around comment #8.)
