Any update on this? Robert and Zoltan gave valid use-cases here for having a
log method that takes a level parameter. At the moment SLF4J forces people to
come up with hacky solutions to this, which is a design flaw. I just stumbled
upon another use-case: if I want an AOP based logging solution where I can
parameterize the log levels I need to do the same hack again...
