Log configuration would be done in the backend, not in SLF4J.
I.e. in Logback, log4j, or whatever you are using.

As a general guideline, if you need to configure SLF4J to do something 
and it isn't straightforward, it's probably intentionally impossible 
because the configuration should live in the backend.
