Ceki,

It appears that logback-beagle is not outputting log items at the TRACE level, and the log accumulates (even after clearing) between successive runs of an application.

So if I clear the log, run the app with ERROR, I see an event count of one. But if I right click and change the ERROR level to WARN, I now see all events (warn and below) from the time I started eclipse and ran the app the first time. This may be the desired design, but it is not one that I was expecting. To actually clear the log, I have to restart Eclipse. This is running on Eclipse-Juno with Java 1.7.

My logback.xml file is just the beagle entry:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<configuration debug="true">  <!-- sends logs to logback-beagle -->
	<consolePlugin />
</configuration>

The code is very simple:

public class BeagleTest {
	private static final Logger LOGGER = LoggerFactory.getLogger(BeagleTest.class);
	public static void main(String[] args) {
		LOGGER.trace("Message 1");
		LOGGER.debug("Message 2");
		LOGGER.info("Message 3");
		LOGGER.warn("Message 4");
		LOGGER.error("Message 5");
	}
}
